I might also need to post changes I made to the Makefile if you can not
get these to build.

Looks good! The last hunk has already been fixed in HEAD, but the other two are important. Can I get your full name for the ChangeLog?

I've applied the patches to trunk, making the necessary adjustments. Do you mind applying this to the 2.6.0 beta to make sure it still works for you, or at least taking a look to make sure I didn't get anything too terribly wrong?

Here's an updated version from Jean-Louis, which fixes a few omissions on my part. Can you try this out, again applied against the latest 2.6.0 beta, and make sure that it correctly controls your changer?

This patch is now included in 2.6.0b3. If you get a chance, please test it out and let us know about any problems before we make the first 2.6.0 release?
