Default amanda with TapeChanger using chg-zd-mtx problems

    Hi,

I'm using amanda-server-2.4.4p3-1 + HP 16 Tape changer to do my backups. But i have a problem, even when amanda wants say Daily04 loaded into the tape drive for a backup, the chg-zd-mtx loader always loads Daily01 into the drive, and therefore the backup fails.

*** A TAPE ERROR OCCURRED: [label Daily04 or new tape not found in rack].
Some dumps may have been left in the holding disk.
Run amflush to flush them to tape.
The next 2 tapes Amanda expects to used are: Daily04, Daily01.

    Here is the relevent amanda.conf:
runtapes 2 # number of tapes to be used in a single run of amdump
tapedev "/dev/nst0" # the no-rewind tape device to be used
    changerfile "/etc/amanda/farm_daily_backup/changer"
    changerdev "/dev/sg1"
    tpchanger "chg-zd-mtx" # the tape-changer /
tapetype SDLT320 # what kind of tape it is (see tapetypes below)
    labelstr "^Daily0[1-9]$"

    Here is the changer.conf
    multieject 0
    gravity 0
    needeject 0
    ejectdelay 0
    statefile /var/lib/amanda/farm_daily_backup/changer-status
    firstslot 1
    lastslot 16

I am relatively new to amanda, can someone help me?

    Thanks

    Brandon

Sure that it's really Dailly01? Maybe you only see the name printed by mtx (who read the barcode) and it's labled different.
