Below steps helps to resolved broken pipe error in Zmanda during the backup with error text Broken Pipe. Broken pipe errors generally occurs due to network failure.


Increase the following timeout value under backup HOW page.

1. Login to Zmanda GUI console.
2. Select the backupset where the backups are failing with broken pipe error.
3. Change tab to Backup|How page.
4. Update the following Timeout values for below entries

Ex : Always set higher value like 60 minutes.

1. Backup verification
2. No data sent.
3. Backup Estimate
