Hello,

The Amanda core team is pleased to announce the release of Amanda 3.5.

There is one big change over the 3.4 release, it is the use of multiple threads to connect to the client, this fix a long standing bug where a host fail because another host timed out in the connect system call.

The fix require to remove the suid bit from the amservice, amcheck, planner and dumper program, the new ambind program do the privileged instruction.
