I am looking for a disaster recovery solution, and I wanted to know if Amanda would be able to server that purpose. My idea of a disaster recovery scenario is the following:
The harddrive(s) on the server in question has failed, and I want to restore the most recent snapshot image onto the replacement harddrive(s). Is this something that Amanda is capable of handling?
Also, if for some reason, the entire server hardware had to be replaced, and I needed to restore the snapshot to the new server, would Amanda be able to handle that situation?
