Unhappy "FATAL infofile update failed (localhost,'/etc'): File exists" error

I am new to Amanda. I am using Amanda Community Edition 3.3.7.

I get the following error everytime when running 'amreport' after trying to backup to a folder in an NFS mount by running 'amdump' command.

"There are 20662k of dumps left in the holding disk.
Run amflush to flush them to tape.

The next tape Amanda expects to use is: 1 new tape.
    FAILURE DUMP SUMMARY:
driver: FATAL infofile update failed (localhost,'/etc'): File exists
driver: ERROR infofile update failed (localhost,'/etc'): File exists"

I don't get this error when I backup to a different folder within the Amanda server VM. I checked whether the amandabackup user has read/write access to the target folder & the 'infofile' folder in the NFS mount and it does. So, I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Can anyone help me?

    Is the tape write protected?

No, it is not write protected. I am able to create folders/files in that NFS mount folder as amandabackup user with no errors.
