Thread: Backup files every 60 minutes

  1. #1

    Default Backup files every 60 minutes

    Is it possible to configure Amanda so that it is guaranteed that full backups are created every 60 minutes. So if I start my first backup at 4:15, backups will continue to occur at 5:15, 6:15 .... X:15 ?

    You will have to use crontab to do this. Is your backup guaranteed to finish within 60 minutes?

    Yes, my backup only takes ~15min.

    In terms of dumpcycle and runspercycle what values would I use to achieve this? Here is my guess...

    amanda.conf:
    dumpcycle = 0
    runspercycle = 1

    Then in the cron tab i would specify to run amanda every hour.

    Is this correct?

    also explored the Packages folders in both rhel 64 & 32 bits, and the only JSONs available were the Pythion JSONs.
