I do have a Tape Changer and a cleaner tape. If I try to use
amtape something clean
it says
ERROR: 'chg-robot:' does not support clean
How can I clean my tape? It definitely works with Backup Exec 12.5 and the same Tape Changer.

As it said, chg-robot does not support clean.
Load the tape manually in the drive with the mtx command.
