Default can yourecover from tape after removing label ..

    Hi

Is there any way to recover data from a tape if you "accidently" ran "amlabel" against a tape ?

I have tried amrestore and amrecover with no success

    Thanks

    Mick

What was the command that you run?
Can you still find that tape by "amadmin find"?

Amanda write an EOT (end of tape) mark after the label, amanda can't read after an EOT.

I don't know if it is possible to read after an EOT, it might depend of the driver and drive.
You should search the web to find how to read after the EOT mark
