Default What Software to Use? Help Please

    Hello all backup experts

I have a question in regards to what backup software to use (server and client) and why?

Iím in the market for some software that I can use to backup small business data with. Iíve tested many (For example)

    http://remote-backup.com/

    http://www.backupagent.com/index.php?check=no

And they all have great features but are a little pricy - just want to make the right choice

    EtcÖ

I would like to use a Windows 2003 server (but am open minded) but all clients will be Windows based

Now Iíve ran across ZManda, do you think this software is worth testing? And are there advantages to going with ZManda?

It seems like Iíve been testing for ever and would like so input from others (little over whelming on what to use)

Any help you can provide will be very helpful and I will be most grateful for it

    Thank you for your time

    Jamie

    Hi Jamie,

What type of data are you planning on backing up on your Windows servers.

With Amanda 2.5 you can protect your Windows clients no problem.

The only requirement is that your Amanda Backup Server needs to be running Linux.

If you would like more information feel free to post your email address here, and I will send you some more information regarding Amanda.
