Default I want to remove Amanda client on my MAC completely !!!

Hi

I was trying to install Amanda client on my Mac 10.7 by following the instruction on the page http://wiki.zmanda.com/index.php/Installation/OS_Specific_Notes/Installing_Amanda_on_Mac_OS_X#Complete_set-up_for_OS_X_Snow_Leopard_10.6.2_on_2010-01-08.

I couldn't install successfully, I guess 10.7 is not supported currently.

Anyway, can you please tell me the procedure to uninstall Amanda client on Mac?

ps: The document content is not organized well. Sometimes it is categorized by Mac version, sometimes by installation task. Very confusing!

hi!

I would think things should install on 10.7 correctly. What is the error you are getting?

If you want to uninstall, first unload any related LaunchDaemons:

launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.amanda.amandad.bsdtcp.plist
launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/org.amanda.amandad.bsdudp.plist

Check for and delete the following files and dirs:
/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.amanda.amandad.bsdtcp.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/org.amanda.amandad.bsdudp.plist
/usr/lib/amanda
/usr/lib/libamanda*
/usr/lib/libamar*
/usr/lib/libamclient*
/usr/lib/libamglue*
/usr/lib/libamxfer*
/private/etc/amanda
/private/tmp/amanda
/private/var/amanda
/private/var/log/amanda
/usr/share/amanda
/usr/share/man/man?/amanda*
/private/var/lib/amanda

Tell pkgutil (not sure if 10.7) to forget about the package. Sub "package_name" for the package name:
pkgutil --forget package_name

Delete the amanda user.

Paul
