AE 3.1.5 Connecting to MS SQL

We have purchased the MS SQL Agent for Amanda Enterprise 3.1.5.

When I perform a 'check host' on the Backup What page, I receive the error:

ERROR: 192.168.219.72: MSSQL : Fail to connect to MSSQL Server. Check
'amandabackup' user credentials
Client check: 1 host checked in 32.147 seconds. 1 problem found.

I have created the user 'amandabackup' as per the instructions, but at no point does it specify what the password is for this account. I feel there is probably one small item I'm missing here, but would really like to get this running.

Are there some known gotchas that I should look out for ?

Any help would be great.

Hi,

Don't know if you already solved this but you need to add the amandabackup account to the SQL sysadmin role. In case you want to backup a SQL cluster you need to create and use an amandabackup domain account and add it to the SQL sysadmin role.
