    Default Configuring amanda on HP auto loader MSL 2024

    Hi Team,

    I am newb in this forums. I want the step by step document for Configuring amanda on HP auto loader MSL 2024 with encrypted backup.


    Any help is appriciated.

    I have configured the amanda. Now I am testing using single tape.

    Now I have taken dump in the tape. After that I have run the command amcheck that time getting below error.

    sh-3.2$ amadmin BackupSet1 find

    date host disk lv tape or file file part status
    2011-12-01 16:11:11 10.132.100.250 /home 0 ARZ700L5 1 1/1 OK

    sh-3.2$ amcheck BackupSet1
    Amanda Tape Server Host Check

    slot 5: volume 'ARZ700L5' is still active and cannot be overwritten
    Taper scan algorithm did not find an acceptable volume.

    I have changed the

    runspercycle 1
    tapecycle 1 tapes

    in amanda.conf and it detected the first tape. After that I have added a another one tape and did the amlable but getting below erro

    slot 20: Can't read label: Error reading Amanda header: Error reading 32768 bytes from /dev/nst0: Input/output error
