amtapetype Error setting FSF_AFTER_FILEMARK on Solaris
I have compiled and build Amanda 3.3.0 release from source on Solaris 11 Express for x64.
When I try to run the amtapetype command to get tape configuration from my Ultrium 2 (LTO-2) tape drive, I get the following:
-bash-4.1$ ./amtapetype -f /dev/rmt/0n
Checking for FSF_AFTER_FILEMARK requirement
amtapetype: Error setting FSF_AFTER_FILEMARK: Success at ./amtapetype line 419.
This exits very quickly (less than 5 minutes) and does not output any other configuration information. I am not even sure it is doing any writes to the tape.
We have a Sun StorageTek C4 tape robot (with the aforementioned Ultrium 2 tape drive) that we want to get working. Mtx and Solaris show everything is fine. I can use the mtx command to change tape and everything.
Am I doing something wrong or is there a bug in Amanda 3.3 for Solaris?
Thanks,
Michael
