Thread: Faulting application ZWCService.exe

    Default Faulting application ZWCService.exe

Today we installed ZCB 3.0.2 on a 32bits Hyper-V Windows Server 2008. Whenever I start a backup, the backup is aborted after a view seconds with the message: 'An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host'.

I added the ports 10080 and 10081 to the Firewall settings, but this didn't solve the issue.

Then I noticed that the ZWCService.exe stops whenever I start a backup. The Application Event Log shows the following error message:
Faulting application ZWCService.exe, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x4ca9b489, faulting module MSVCR100.dll, version 10.0.30319.1, time stamp 0x4ba1dbbe, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00010a8e, process id 0x304, application start time 0x01cbdddb691a429e.

What can cause this weird behaviour and how can I solve it?

Any further details on this issue? I'm seeing the same errors on a Windows 2008R2 client; my whole amanda backup locks up (ie, stops and never completes) after this happens.
