Non-Amanda tape...

Hi everyone.
I got another problem with Amanda and magnetic tapes.
Inserted a clean (never used!) new DAT320 tape in my streamer, tried to label it but got the following error. What is it now and how can I force Amanda to make a label in my tape?..

#mt rewind
#sudo -u amandabackup amlabel Taper DAT320_01
labeling tape in slot 2 (tape:/dev/sa0):
Reading label...
Found a non-Amanda tape.

tape not labeled

I tried to erase tape with

mt erase

, but it was not much help...

Hi,

try:

amlabel <config> <labelstring> slot <slotnumber> -f

amlabel monthly mon-022 slot 22 -f

You can find out in which slot your tape is by typing:

mtx -f /dev/sg1 status

If your changer is /dev/sg1
