Default amidxtaped: restore read error: Input/output error

    Dear all,

i'm using Amanda version 2.5.2p1 running on Suse Linux Enterprise Edition 11.1. I'have no problem running amdump to tape media.

Recently, i tried to run amrecover to restore my files. Until i run on extract command, it shown me some error message

    tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Extractor child exited with status 2

I try to check on amindexd.debug log and it shown me the following error message below

amidxtaped: restore read error: Input/output error
amidxtaped: time 95.879: restore read error: Input/output error
    amidxtaped: time 95.879: pid 13464 finish time Tue Jan 26 16:58:47 2010

I have tried some option as below

    1. Clean the tape drive
    2. turn on/off the tape drive
    3. reboot my machines
    4. try to recover using different tape media
    5. plug and unplug the connector

All the following options did not solve the problem. When i run amcheck command, it did not shown me any error.

Can anybody suggest me any solutions?
