Thread: Zmanda on EC2

    Default Zmanda on EC2

Not sure if this is a feature request or something that is currently possible and I just have not found the documentation on it but how feasible would it be to run Zmanda and ZRM in an Amazon EC2 virtual machine. Now that one could use EBS based virtual disks that seems like it would create a low startup cost solution for VARs or MSPs.

Yes. It is possible to do so. You can run Amanda Enterprise and ZRM enterprise on EC2.

We are working on backup appliances that will do what you are describing. If you have specific requirements, please contact zsales at zmanda dot com

Note: We use this configuration for product testing.
