Thread: disable --extended-insert on backup?

    Default disable --extended-insert on backup?

I am just wondering whether you can turn this off on the logical backup mode (without just butchering the script manually).

I am backing up a database that contains blob data in it and cannot be certain that the data that is being backed up will not exceed the maximum packet size of 16M (since with --extended-insert mode on the line of data can go over this)

No currently we cannot turn it off separately. not sure if you have tried this but one suggestion would be to modify the .cf file and set the max_allowed_packet to a value that you need.
