    issue resolved...

    Sure enough...the timeout for doing the planner part was not long enough...over time, # files/dirs in the backup list was too large for 300 seconds.

    amdump failing with error code 5

    Hi:

    Been using amanda for backups for 3 years now...back in Nov 2014, my automatic backups started failing. I just now noticed :(
