Hi,

I am facing problem with amcheck command .When I execute amcheck command from the perl script in the following way I got some error messages.

amcheck: debug 1 pid 12503 ruid 30003 euid 0: start at Tue Jan 29 09:46:30 2008
amcheck: time 0.001: errors processing config file "/opt/SMCamanda/etc/amanda/oc
nf1/amanda.conf"
amcheck: time 0.002: pid 12503 finish time Tue Jan 29 09:46:30 2008

Please help me on this.

You don't actually show the config file, but if you've cut-n-pasted that message text, then perhaps "ocnf1" is supposed to be "conf1". If the directory "ocnf1" doesn't exist, Amanda would have a hard time processing it.

If that's just a typo transcribing the error message (given the <return> in the middle of that string "oc<return>nf1", then check the permissions of that directory, the ones above and the file amanda.conf in it to see if it's readable by user "amandabackup".

If you're still having problems, you'll want to post what version of Amanda you are using, and on what platform (system type and version), and anything else that might help folks figure out what the issue is.
