Hi all,

I'm setting up - I hope - amanda on a CentOS 5.0/64-bit system which has a Dell powervault 124t (single LTO3 drive, single 8-slot magazine autoloader) attached.

Alas, mtx suggests I have no tapes nor a bar code reader. This is after I've loaded 8 tapes in the loader (and it does have a bar code reader, it is a default feature in this product).

Google search hits on this theme focus on people who don't have multi-lun scsi enabled in linux kernel; this appears not to be a problem for me; rather I can see the changer and the tape drive, but mtx doesn't appear to see what I think it should.

Any comments, suggestions, pointers -- are greatly (!) appreciated.
