Windows client

Hi folks,

I have severe trouble with a Windows client (amanda on cygwin): The installation itself worked fine, but now - no matter what I try - dumps from that Windows client fail, amstatus reports:

winhost:C: 0 planner: [missing result for C: in winhost response]

I already tried 'C:', 'C:\' and '/cygdrive/c' in the disklist-file, always with the very same result. And by the way: I also tried "estimate calcsize" to no effect - this doesn't seem to be a timeout!

No packets or datagrams get stuck in a firewall - neither on the router, nor on the Windows machine itself (at least the logs say so).

amcheck finds no errors, I do "bsd"-authentication as this works fine with the linux clients. Compression and/or encryption I haven't tested so far, so I'm not using those either.

The sendsize - debugfiles on the Windows client look fine (attached below). At least I can't find any error in them.

Can anyone help me out of there? What else can I provide? Any hint would be highly appreciated!

I think the Amanda Window client (using cygwin) only supports auth bsdtcp or ssh.

It appears phaidros is not using windows client from Zmanda downloads (http://www.zmanda.com/download-amanda.php) page.

Please check to see if the amanda user on the server is "idsa". Please check to make sure .amandahosts and xinetd configuration files on the Windows client and server are set up correctly. See documentation on Amanda wiki (http://wiki.zmanda.com) (http://wiki.zmanda.com/index.php/Configuring_bsd/bsdudp/bsdtcp_authentication). Please note that you will have to make more changes if your Amanda server is running 2.5.0 or earlier version.
