You configured your 'changerfile' to be in this directory.
You must create the directory and put your changer config file there,
or change your changerfile setting.

mm. i didnt get it. Im newbie :(

# At most one changerfile entry must be defined; select the most
# appropriate one for your configuration. If you select man-changer,
# keep the first one; if you decide not to use a tape changer, you may
# comment them all out.

runtapes 1 # number of tapes to be used in a single run of amdump
tpchanger "chg-disk" # the tape-changer glue script
rawtapedev "/dev/null" # the raw device to be used (ftape only)
changerfile "/etc/amanda/DailySet1/changer"
#changerfile "/etc/amanda/DailySet1/changer-status"
#changerfile "/etc/amanda/DailySet1/changer.conf"
changerdev "/dev/null"

maxdumpsize -1 # Maximum number of bytes the planner will schedule
# for a run (default: runtapes * tape_length).
tapedev "file://space/vtapes/DailySet1/slots"

tapetype HARDDISK # what kind of tape it is (see tapetypes below)
labelstr "^DailySet1-[0-9][0-9]*$" # label constraint regex: all tapes must match

define tapetype HARDDISK {
length 100000 mbytes

that what i have in my amanda.conf

Thanks martineau

Please correct me if this is wrong. changerfile should be:

changerfile "/etc/amanda/DailySet1/tapelist"

My hint is the command from the whitepaper:

-bash-3.00$ touch /etc/amanda/DailySet1/tapelist

close -- it should be /etc/amanda/DailySet1/changerfile.

'tapelist' is the tapelist :)
