well I have been trying to install amanda now for about 3 days with very little luck. I finally found a ubuntu how to install amanda and still get stuck when labeling the tapes? Anyone ever see this error before? I have no clue why it would be looking for /dev/null/data.

Below is the link to the how to:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=2470030

Below is the error message

It looks like your tapedev is file:/dev/null

It should be set to the directory containing your vtapes.
