XP home woes

Before reading all the docs I tried installing the windows client on a Windows XP Home box that already had cygwin installed.

This resulted on two users being created in the system that are not managable by windows, along with cygwin being unusable.

I deleted the cygwin install manually before realizing that the installer was also an uninstaller.

I also noted that the windows client installer can't repair a failed install if the previous install script set file permissions

Is there a way in cygwin or the windows client to remove the amandabackup and amandaroot users?

I ran the uninstaller one more time and it succeeded in removing the two users where it had failed in the past

Great news. In case you need to remove it manually, please try

net user amandabackup /DEL
net user amandaroot /DEL

RE-installed windows client...success
had to set auth "bsdtcp" in dumptype for this system
amcheck daily shows all OK
With amdump daily, I get: planner: [disk c:, all estimate timed out]
Is that a problem? or do I need to adjust the timeout somewhere?

any particular directory to backup?
For example, to backup C:\windows\system32 directory, then path would be "/cygdrive/c/windows"
