Are there any plans to create pre-packaged amanda client for OS X? I would like something that is easy to install and "just works". Currently I am using rsync to back up my OS X machines, but I would use the amanda client if I could install it easily. (Ditto for Windows, actually)

Yes. We are planning to create pre-packaged rpms for OS X. It will take couple of
months to do testing and packaging.

Jokes apart ! I would like to help in this. I am an OS X user and wanted to learn more about the package format anyway. Thought, this would be a good learning experience. If no one else in your organisation (zmanda ?) working on this ? I might need some help though :)
