I have successfully backed up few word files from my computer. Now let's say my computer crashes and doesn't open and I end up buying new computer. Now my new computer won't have ZCB. But I can back up from Amazon S3. But how though?

Install ZCB and ZCB-certificate on the new machine. Use Tools->Restore catalog to restore the backup catalog from S3. After that you can restore backup images as needed.

so that means that if i have use an encryption certificate at the time of back up, i need to preserve it on a different PC so that i can get it at the time of restoring data. is that correct ? how are other users keep this encryption certificate ?

thanks

Yes. You need to preserve the encryption certificate. Otherwise, the restored data cannot be decrypted.
