Check in amdump.1 log file.
Do you have a dle in the disklist?

You have an error in the disklist, fix it.

I'm sure amcheck reported it, why do you tried a backup without fixing it?

Hi, I have a problem with my server 2.5.0p2 amanda does not do backups, I need help.

While this may have nothing to do with the issue you are facing, I should point out that 2.5.0 would be considered a very old Amanda release at this point. A *lot* of improvements, fixes and usability enhancements have been done to Amanda since 2.5.

Thanks

Hi, I deleted all disklist clients and I left the machine where it is installed to serve amanda fs / tmp and I get the same error.

I installed CentOS5 with latest version of Amanda Backup Server 3.2.1, is configured in the same way, amanda.conf, disklist, etc?

Thanks

What's was the output of amcheck?
It should have told you which line is not correct in the configuration file.
Look at that line, read the amanda.conf man page to find the valid syntax.
