Hi @all,
i have a problem with amrestore.

Now, this is the disklist
bnr-server /home/amanda/test/ user-tar
and i will restore a directory on date 20101203172901 via amrestore.

What is Wrong

This is the output


amanda@bnr-server:~$ amrestore --config Daily6 bnr-server /home/amanda/test/ 20101203172901

amanda@bnr-server:~$ chmod -R 777 /var/lib/amanda/vtapes/Daily6/
amanda@bnr-server:~$ chown -R amanda:backup /var/lib/amanda/vtapes/Daily6

amanda@bnr-server:~$ amrestore --config Daily6 bnr-server /home/amanda/test/ 20101203172901

amrestore require the device name on the command line:
amrestore --config Daily6 file:/var/lib/amanda/vtapes/Daily6 bnr-server /home/amanda/test/ 20101203172901

You sould try the amfetchdump command.

i have now another error.
File 0 !!?

ERROR: File 0 not found

amrestore restore only from the current slot.
Use 'amtape Daily6 slot ??' so that the current slot is the one you want to restore from.

or better, use amfetchdump, it do everything for you.
$ amfetchdump Daily6 bnr-server /home/amanda/test/ 20101213011157
