I have just upgraded to the 3.1.3 version of Amanda from 2.x.

Everything is working perfectly except running amrecover on the client.

I get

# amrecover
AMRECOVER Version 3.1.3. Contacting server on thor-fast.yyy-tech.com ...
NAK: user root from hera-fast.yyy-tech.com is not allowed to execute the service amindexd: Please add the line "hera-fast.yyy-tech.com root amindexd amidxtaped" to /var/lib/amanda/.amandahosts on the server

Server .amandahost file has

thor-fast.yyy-tech.com amandabackup
hera-fast.yyy-tech.com root amindexd amidxtaped

Server amandad debug file shows the same issue.

Thank you

And yes I am using BSD authorization for this config. I am planning to update it as soon as I have the restores working.

If for some reason this is the problem I can go ahead and move forward with that but I hate to implement more changes than the upgrade until I have everything working.
