We are running 2 amanda-servers (v3.1.3 and v3.2.0) doing backups for Linux and AIX-servers fine.
The last bit is to add 1 windows-server to the backup.
I have installed ZWC-Community-3.1.3-64bit.zip succesfully. Visual Shadow Copy and ZWC services services are started.

Ping, nslookup and amservice on server is OK.

[amanda@server ~]$ amservice am-win bsdtcp noop < /dev/null
OPTIONS features=ff7fffff9cfeffffd3cf1300;

Butu my amchek fails with "timeout waiting for ACK"

Amanda Backup Client Hosts Check
--------------------------------
WARNING: am-win: selfcheck request failed: timeout waiting for ACK
Client check: 1 host checked in 30.004 seconds. 1 problem found.

I've checked the doc's and forums but cannot find what I am missing here.

After installing the client do I need to edit or create some specific files ?
What files could/should I check on the win-client-side ?

OK, run amaddclient (on the server running v.3.2.0) and amcheck reports 0 problems found.

Ran amdump and it works !

How are you backing up AIX? Over NFS or have you installed Amanda client or server on it?

thanks
