1.please can you tell me how amanda deals with old backups?
2.when amanda removes it from backup disc?

Amanda keeps a record of all backups that are on tape, whether real or virtual. When a tape is overwritten, the information of the overwritten data is forgotten. Your data is preserved for essentially "tapecycle" runs. After that point, Amanda will overwrite any tape that was written over "tapecycle" runs ago. Tapes can be put on the shelf and preserved if you have enough tapes in rotation or they will be overwritten when used again.

3.Can open source version of amanda backup a mysql database?

Amanda will only back up the flat files which is not a good way to back up a database. You should use the Zmanda Recovery Manager for MySQL, http://zmanda.com/backup-mysql.html

4.When was first version of amanda released?

Amanda started in the very early 90's at the University of Maryland.

If you want to run a script before calling amdump, you can just have the script call amdump as the final part of the script. If you want a script to run at various points during the backup, you can use the script API, http://wiki.zmanda.com/index.php/Script_API.
