Running the 64bit client - Version: 2.6.1.2 - On Win2008 sbs 64bit

it keeps getting huge - ie 300Mb+ - within a couple of days.

None of the other Windows servers I have installed this on seem to get this big.

Any ideas on why this is happening, as I can't really justify a backup tool using that much ram all the time.

Which process is using the memory? ZWC-MySQL or ZWCService?

Does the increase happen after a backup or when it is idle?

Do you see any big files say 50MB or more in the misc folder under the Installation directory.

Also, what would be the scale of the backup ?

From the look the ZWCService gains about 53MB of ram every time it runs.

Any idea why it does not release this?

Hello,

Can you see if any files (with numbers as names) in the INSTALL_DIR\misc folder, of size 50MB files exist ?. You could delete them if you are done with the backup.

Are you seeing this leak every time you run a FULL or you are seeing this only after incrementals ? I am assuming a 40GB worth backup would have the file count running atleast into thousands. You could probably wc/grep the index file on the server and let us know an approximate count for this.
