Hai All,

Can any one tell me where does the compression takes place.

Whether the data is copied from mysql slave to ZRM server and then it is compressed as one backup file or the data is compressed at the mysql slave and sent to ZRM server.

As I have seen all the mysql files like .MYD, .MYI and other files are first copied to the ZRM server and after completion of copying all the files they are compressed as one backup file.

If it is so what about the performance of ZRM.

It is thankfull if u reply soon!!!!

As you guessed, compression takes place on the server.

As to the performance of ZRM... that is a rather open ended question! I think performance is great! Please be more specific so that my answer can be more useful.

Users are often concerned with different aspects of performance such a required backup window, compression ratios, or dump rate. Often the performance limited by hardware.
