Hi all -
When I run the following command as the 'amandabackup' user on my Amanda server:

amoverview ISDaily2.5 -hostwidth=20 -diskwidth=20

I get an empty chart:

Backups are otherwise running fine. Any idea why my amoverview chart would be empty? I'm running Amanda on RHEL4, fully patched. Amanda was installed using the amanda-backup_server-2.5.1b2-1.rhel4 RPM.

Hello,

Its possible that this is a bug in the software, we will look in to it in more deatail and will keep you posted.

Thanks

Hi all -
I upgraded the server and clients to 2.5.1p1-1, but amoverview is still returning an empty chart:

Hi Pavel,

I receive nothing but "E"s in the amoverview output, although amstatus showed "finished" for all partitions after having gone through a seemingly perfect backup. Might this be the same bug? I'm running 2.5.1.p1.

Thanks & bests
Matthew

This bug was fixed a few days after the 2.5.1p1 release.

This bug was fixed a few days after the 2.5.1p1 release.

I see, great!

a) Is there any 2.5.1.p2 or so, I'm missing?

b) If not, can I safely ignore the Es until such a patch or revision or whatever?

c) I've always installed the debian-packets, and from the scripts lately. Would you advise me to get the source-tree and compile myself? I've never done this before, although I run a simple subversion-site for my own projects myself.

Thanks &

bests from Vienna

Matthew

amanda-2.5.1p2 will be release this week
The source for the amanda-2.5.1 branch are on cvs, not on subversion.
