Dave Kearns recently gave your company a mention in his weekly Netware newsletter http://www.networkworld.com/newsletters/netware/2006/0821nw2.html and he mentioned that you were planning on including support for NetWare in your product. I can not find any information regarding the inclusion of NetWare as a supported OS and was just wondering at what revision that might be included.
Thanks!!

Hi there,

We are considering support for NetWare in the future, but we don't have any defined timeline yet.

If you are looking for a short-term solution for backup of NetWare, you might consider NFS mounting of your NetWare hosts onto Amanda backup server. In Amanda white paper (available with your free registration for Zmanda Network http://network.zmanda.com) we discuss pros and cons of backup over NFS and SAMBA.

I'm looking for a backup solution in the open-source arena for Netware environments too and more precisely above the TSA provided by Novell.
So my question is "will your consideration for future support of Netware integrate the Novell/TSA architecture?" and another one "Do you know if there is any issue with the TSA when interfaced with GPLd code or any other Open Sourced code?". The main goal of these questions is to know at wich level and wich granularity we will see the efficiency of the future development, not just on a file focus but also considering eDirectory objects or Groupwise emails. Ohhh and, please, when do you think we will see something appearing for production in concret terms? Thanks for your answer.
