View Full Version : Couple of minor bugs...

Hi,

I've run into a couple of minor bugs with MySQL-zrm-2.0-1 (the RPM) running on CentOS.

1. If MySQL-zrm-client is installed without MySQL-zrm (i.e. on a MySQL server), /var/log/mysql-zrm is not created and socket-server fails.

The MySQL-zrm-client RPM should create /var/log/mysql-zrm and set the correct permissions.

2. It is not possible to disable email alerts. I suspect this is down to the following lines in mysql-zrm-backup:

163 sub mailFile()
164 {
165 if( $inputs{"mailto"} ){
166 if( $verbose ){

This will always return true (the "mailto" hash item will be auto-vivified).

The following fix may work:

163 sub mailFile()
164 {
165 if( exists $inputs{"mailto"} && $inputs{"mailto"} ){
166 if( $verbose ){

Cheers,

R.

Actually, the second one is not a bug - I didn't realise that the programs use both /etc/mysql-zrm/mysql-zrm.conf and /etc/mysql-zrm/{backup set name}/mysql-zrm.conf.

However, the code change I suggested should be applied - it's good practise!
