Hi,

Searching for a faster solution that would allow me to copy our databases i found this post:

http://www.bofh-hunter.com/2008/05/08/abusing-mysql/

I know raw copying is nice, but we just cant switch to lvm as our main concern is a non-lvm, live system.

As an addition, we have several databases, some using utf8, some latin1, some are myisam, others have innodb in them, and their size is nearing 50gb total on this server.

Are there any plans to support mkparalleldump through zrm?

Best,
Javier.

Yes. We will probably include mksql-parallel-dump support in next version.
