Have a simple scenario.
I have one server in local network. I want to backup one folder on this server to amazon s3.
What package do I need?

Is there any minimal configuaration? I've red this how-to
but this is for completly different architecture.

You have posted your question in the ZRM forum, but I believe you intended to post it in one of the Amanda forums. Either way, to answer your question:

You will need to have the Amanda Enterprise 2.6.4 installed on the backup server, and the Amanda Enterprise 2.6.4 client installed on the server on your local network which has the file(s) that you want to send to S3. If you just wanted to install the Amanda Enterprise 2.6.4 server on the system itself you can do that. You will also need to purchase the Amanda S3 account through Zmanda which you can do so at:

Oh, I am sorry. Your are right. This should go to Amanada forums.

Two comments to your answer
1. Is enterprise required or can I test it with community version?
2. I can't install server and client on the same server
rpm -ivh amanda-backup_client-2.6.0p1-1.fc8.i386.rpm
warning: amanda-backup_client-2.6.0p1-1.fc8.i386.rpm: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 3c5d1c92
error: Failed dependencies:
amanda-backup_server conflicts with amanda-backup_client-2.6.0p1-1.fc8.i386

The Amazon S3 capability will only work with the Amanda Enterprise version, so you will not be able to test it with the community edition. You can contact sales at zsales@zmanda.com though to set up an evaluation.

Also, the server comes with its own client, so if you install the server on a system it will be able to back itself up without having to install an additional client.

Look here - http://wiki.zmanda.com/index.php/S3_Device

But I'm having the same question. How do I backup a backup server? What do I need to do?
