I have a few customers that would like us to backup their servers remotely to our servers. Is Amanda/Zmanda Enterprise the right tool to be using for WAN type backups?

We have 6M (4xT1) at our office, and our customers all have single T1 installations. I'm just trying to get a feel for how everyone is using the software (LAN backup only, or LAN + WAN backup).

Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated.

Amanda isn't generally used over WAN links. You might consider installing Amanda locally at each customer site and using S3 backups to upload to the "cloud". Then you don't have to worry about using your own bandwidth.
