Default Does Amanda work with Exabyte's VXA-172 or VXA-320 autoloaders?

I would like to use a backup server running Debian Sarge and Amanda with either one of the following Exabyte autoloaders:
* VXA-172 PacketLoader Packet Tape Autoloader,
* VXA-320 PacketLoader Tape Autoloader.

Has anyone tried either of these configurations? If so, what was your experience?

Amanda works with Exabyte tape loaders. Please check in amanda-user list
archives for user experiences with Exabyte tape autoloaders

Please use chg-zd-mtx changer.

Default Vxa 160/320

Hi,

we use VXA320 with amanda and freebsd
the tape works fine for 3-4-5 weeks.
if we reboot the server with tape inside the tapedrive
we got a amanda error "out of tape".
we save only 56GB data on the tape.

any idea

many thanks

Gerhard
