New Install on New Ubuntu 11.10 Server: amcheck-device terminated with signal 11
I am not sure where to go in troubleshooting this error. The amcheck ends with no problems detected but amdump MyConfig gives Segmentation Error
Any ideas on where to start would be appreciated or ideas about causes for a segmentation error.
Thank you

I was using 3.3.0 and updated as you suggested to 3.3.1
amcheck MyConfig now shows the following:
Holding disk /amanda/holding: 30703616 kB disk space available, using 51200 kB a s requested
/usr/bin/perl: symbol lookup error: /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8/auto/Amanda/Debu g/libDebug.so: undefined symbol: Perl_Tstack_sp_ptr
Server check took 0.098 seconds
Amanda Backup Client Hosts Check
--------------------------------
Client check: 1 host checked in 2.113 seconds. 0 problems found.
(brought to you by Amanda 3.3.1)
am I missing a dependency?
Thanks

What version of Perl are you using on the Amanda server? If you are using packages from www.zmanda.com/download-amanda.php,
you should have perl 5.8.8 installed.

Hi Amanda,
You first try Ubuntu 10.4. Which is very easy to use and step by step wizard based installation process guided you. I think this help you to learn installation of Ubuntu 11.10.
Thanks
