selfcheck request failed: recv error: Connection reset by peer

Hi, I'm installing amanda on a RHEL4
Server is up and backing up 4 other RHEL5 boxes, the server itself is running RHEL5
I'm installing amanda 2.6.0.p2 on the client following this guide http://www.zmanda.com/quick-backup-setup.html
Because of the tar=>1.15 problem, I use the command rpm -ivh amanda-backup_client-2.6.0p2-1.rhel4.i386.rpm --nodeps to ignore the dependency check.
When everything is done (I did a netstat -a | grep amanda check), I ram amcheck -c daily and get an error "selfcheck request failed: recv error: Connection reset by peer"
Then I tried other versions of amanda but the problem is still there.
Is there anyone who know how to solve it?
The server and all other clients are running amanda 2.6.0p2 on RHEL5, the new client is running RHEL4

Hello,

What do you get if you run (on the server): telnet <hostname-or-IP-of-client> 10080 ?
Is there any firewall running on the client?

I found renewed.
problem was with the rights
I added a user operator in the group root .

From the amandad.*.debug, you are running amanda-2.5.1p3 on the client.
Change the path in inetd.conf to the path of the 2.6.0p2 amandad binary.
