View Full Version : Also: Server validation Failed. Please register server with client.

Hi,

my (test) setup consists of 3 clients. Everything works fine for a Linux box and a WinXP client using smbclient. When I try with the Zmanda native win32 client amcheck gives me the above error message.
I'm using version 2.6.0p2 on all machines.
Since there's no local DNS server, I'm not using FQDN, I enter the aliases in the "hosts" file on each computer.

The server log file is attached and any help is appreciated

Make sure the Amanda "Server IP/FQDN" is entered correctly in ZWCConfig and restart ZWCservice after fixing server address

Well, the server I enter in ZWCConfig appears in
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Zmanda\ZWC\1.0\Install\servers
I guess this is the desired behaviour. But it doesn't matter what I enter (the alias used in the hosts file, the IP address or both), the error message remains. Of course I've restarted the ZWCservice after each change.

Any more ideas?
