Can AMANDA backup Lustre storage ?

That is, does AMANDA understand all the nuances/subtilties of Lustre and is able to produce a full, complete and verifiable backup copy of Lustre storage.

Are there any large Lustre storage sites around the world that use
AMANDA as their Backup and Recovery tool ?

Any info. on AMANDA with Lustre storage would be appreciated.

Amanda provides Lustre client filesystem backups. In case of large filesystems, You can divide the file system into multiple DLEs.

To backup extended attributes for the MDS files, you will have
to use pre-backup and post-backup plugins. Amanda's application API (http://wiki.zmanda.com/index.php/Application_API)
provides the pre-backup capability.

There are Lustre users who use Amanda for backups. Amanda is one of tools
mentioned for backup in Lustre manual.
