amanda server/client on Ubuntu 8.04

Hello all,

I'm trying to install and configure amanda server and client for backup on ubuntu based network. Anyone know where I can find a guide to doing this. I have tried several options from the site but always end up with errors.

At the moment, we don't produce Ubuntu packages, although they are in the works. I don't know of any specific Ubuntu how-tos, but I'm certainly happy to answer any questions you might have. In general, you'll get the best answers on the amanda-users list, and there are usually a few folks around on freenode's #amanda if you want instant feedback.
